Vegan Muddy Buddies


  • Ingredients:
    • 1 Box Rice Chex (or any gluten-free Chex alternative)
    • 16 oz organic peanut butter
    • 10 oz vegan chocolate chips
    • 3 cups powdered sugar
    • 1 teaspoon olive or vegetable oil
    • 2 gallon-sized ziplock bags


    1. Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.
    2. Add peanut butter and chocolate chips to the pot, stirring constantly until fully melted, about 2 to 3 minutes.
    3. Remove from heat and add Chex cereal to the pot in batches, stirring to coat each batch evenly with the peanut butter-chocolate mixture.
    4. Divide the coated Chex mixture evenly between the two ziplock bags.
    5. Add 1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar to each bag.
    6. Seal the bags, leaving a small opening, and blow air into them to fill them up. Then seal them completely and shake vigorously to coat the muddy buddies with powdered sugar.
    7. Repeat the process for the second bag.
    8. Place the bags in the freezer for at least 2 hours before serving. Store in the freezer and enjoy cold!
