Heirloom Pesto Sourdough Pizza (No Dairy)



  • 5 Heirloom Tomatoes (also used 10 golden nugget tomatoes)
  • 1 Cup Non-Dairy Pesto (Your favorite)
  • Bunch of Fresh Basil

Sourdough Crust:

  • 1/2 Cup Sourdough Starter
  • 2 Cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 3/4 Cup Water
  • 5 Tablespoons Olive Oil


  1. Preheat the oven to 500°F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients for the sourdough crust. Mix thoroughly, cover with a towel, and allow to set in a warm place for 2 hours.
  3. On a heavily floured surface, knead the dough, then divide it into two pieces.
  4. Oil your pizza pan and spread out one half of the dough to your desired thickness. Bake for 7 to 10 minutes.
  5. Spread 1/2 cup of pesto evenly over the partially baked crust, then arrange sliced tomatoes on top. Bake for another 10 to 15 minutes, adjusting baking time to achieve desired crispiness.
  6. Garnish with fresh basil and repeat the process for the second pizza.
