Funfetti Scones

Ingredients:

  • 3 Cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1 Cup Cold Salted Butter
  • 1 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream (or any milk of your choice)
  • 3 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 Cup Colorful Sprinkles

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare Dough:
    • In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and baking powder.
  3. Incorporate Butter:
    • Cube the cold butter and add it to the flour mixture. Use two forks to mix and press down on the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add Wet Ingredients:
    • Create a well in the center of the flour mixture and pour in the heavy whipping cream and vanilla extract. Add the sprinkles.
  5. Combine and Shape Dough:
    • Fold the ingredients together using a spatula or your hands until a dough forms. Shape the dough into a large ball.
  6. Shape Scones:
    • Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and flatten it into a disk about 1 inch thick. Cut the disk into wedges.
  7. Bake:
    • Place the scones onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown.

For the Glaze:

  • 1 1/2 Cups Powdered Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Milk

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Glaze:
    • In a small bowl, mix together powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
  2. Drizzle Glaze:
    • Once the scones have cooled, drizzle or spread the glaze on top.
