Funfetti Scones
Ingredients:
- 3 Cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
- 2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
- 1 Cup Cold Salted Butter
- 1 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream (or any milk of your choice)
- 3 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 Cup Colorful Sprinkles
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Prepare Dough:
- In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and baking powder.
- Incorporate Butter:
- Cube the cold butter and add it to the flour mixture. Use two forks to mix and press down on the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs, about 5 minutes.
- Add Wet Ingredients:
- Create a well in the center of the flour mixture and pour in the heavy whipping cream and vanilla extract. Add the sprinkles.
- Combine and Shape Dough:
- Fold the ingredients together using a spatula or your hands until a dough forms. Shape the dough into a large ball.
- Shape Scones:
- Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and flatten it into a disk about 1 inch thick. Cut the disk into wedges.
- Bake:
- Place the scones onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
For the Glaze:
- 1 1/2 Cups Powdered Sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Milk
Instructions:
- Prepare Glaze:
- In a small bowl, mix together powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
- Drizzle Glaze:
- Once the scones have cooled, drizzle or spread the glaze on top.
