Apple Tart

Ingredients:
Crust:
- 1 1/2 Flour (all purpose)
- 3 Tablespoons Sugar
- 1 1/2 Stick of Butter (Cold)
- 1/4 Cup Cold Water
Filling:
- 4 Apples (Gala Apples)
- 1/2 Cup Sugar
- 1 1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla
- 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
- 2 Tablespoons of Melted Butter
For the top of the tart:
- 1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1 Tablespoon Sugar
Crust:
- In a food processor; combine the flour, sugar and pulse.
- Add cold butter in 1 tablespoon slices.
- Add in cold water.
- Pulse for another 5 seconds or until a ball of dough has formed.
- Sprinkle some flour on a flat clean service and roll out your dough. Grease your pie dish with oil or butter and lay your dough on the pie dish. Fit the dough on the pie dish.
Filling:
- Peel, core and cut apples into 1/8 inch thick slices (4 cups)
- Place in a large bowl, add sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and melted butter; toss until combined.
- Arrange apples over dough.
- Preheat oven to 350F
- Sprinkle 1.2 teaspoon of cinnamon and 1 tablespoon sugar on top.
