Real Cheesy Mac n Cheese
- 2 cups organic shell pasta
- 1/2 white onion
- 1 shallot
- 4 garlic cloves
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup organic clover shredded 3 cheese mexican blend
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 heavy whipping cream
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1/2 cup panko
Cook pasta according to package.
In a large pot add one tablespoon of olive oil, saute chopped onions, shallot, and garlic until golden brown.
Add butter, all the milk, and cheese and melt on low heat. Do not let it boil. Once everything is melted and mixed well together add in the pasta and stir until completely covered.
Set oven to broil.
Add pasta to an oven safe dish. Sprinkle panko on top of the mac n cheese, covering the top layer.
Broil for 3 minutes, checking and turning the dish until the panko is golden brown. The panko can burn easily, keep an eye on the dish.
Once the panko is evenly crispy, serve and enjoy!
