Pumpkin Sourdough Bread

 

Ingredients:

Dry Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all purpose flour (may substitute for gluten free flour)
  • 2 teaspoons pumpkin spice
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt

 

Wet Ingredients:

  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sourdough starter
  • 1/4 cup apple juice
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 8 oz can pumpkin puree

 

  1. Preheat oven to 350f
  2. Line a 9×5 loaf pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  3. Add all dry ingredients to one bowl and mix.
  4. In a pot over medium heat, melt the butter. Once the butter has melted, add brown sugar and mix until well combined.
  5. Add in vanilla, egg, sourdough starter, apple juice, pumpkin puree, and mix well.
  6. Add the wet ingredients into the dry and mix until well combined.
  7. Pour into your loaf pan and bake for 60 mins.
  8. Let cool for 15 minutes.
