Chinese Salad with Homemade Honey Sesame Dressing

Serves: 2


  • 1 Head of Red Lettuce
  • 1 to 2 Clementines
  • 2 Green Onions
  • 8 Fresh Edamame Beans (removed from pods)
  • 1/8 Cup Raw Cashews


  • 2 Garlic Cloves, minced
  • 2 Teaspoons Fresh Ginger, minced
  • 1 Teaspoon Mustard Powder
  • 2 Tablespoons Honey
  • 2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce (or aminos)
  • 1 Teaspoon Sesame Seeds
  • 1/4 Cup Olive Oil
  • 1/4 Cup Rice Vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon Sesame Oil


  1. Wash and dry the red lettuce, then tear it into bite-size pieces.
  2. Peel and segment the clementines, chop the green onions, and shell the edamame beans.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the lettuce, clementines, green onions, edamame beans, and cashews.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the minced garlic, minced ginger, mustard powder, honey, soy sauce, sesame seeds, olive oil, rice vinegar, and sesame oil to make the dressing.
  5. Drizzle the desired amount of dressing over the salad and toss gently to coat.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy this delicious and nutritious Chinese salad with homemade honey sesame dressing!
