Garden Spelt Pizza (Vegan or Vegetarian)
1 1/3 cup spelt flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoon olive oil
7 tablespoons of filtered water
1/2 can organic tomato sauce (for sauce add 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon oregano, 1/2 to 1 teaspoon red chili pepper flakes, 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper)
1 cup mozzarella cheese (vegan cheese for vegan pizza)
1 heirloom tomato
2 garlic cloves
1 spring of fresh basil
Preheat oven to 400 F
Mix dry ingredients, flour, baking powder and salt in a medium sized bowl.
Add 2 tablespoons of oil stir and slowly add in 7 tablespoons of water; start kneading dough for 60 seconds.
Let the dough sit and cover it for 10 to 15 minutes.
Roll out the dough to the shape that you desire and prick with a fork all over.
Bake crust for 12 minutes.
In a sauce pan add 1 tablespoon olive oil and slice the garlic cloves very thin, saute the garlic until a light color brown and has a crispy texture.
Add sauce on the top of the crust then place cheese of your choice, fried garlic, sliced jalapeños, sliced tomatoes.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
Add on fresh basil and then enjoy 🙂
