Redwood Social is a women’s collective based in Santa Cruz County, created to cultivate meaningful connection, creativity, and community through food, gathering, and shared experience.
Founded by Kendra Thompson, Redwood Social brings together women of all ages for thoughtfully curated gatherings designed to slow life down, spark connection, and create space for beauty, learning, and belonging.
At its core, Redwood Social is about intentional living — gathering around the table, cooking with the seasons, and creating moments that feel grounding, inspiring, and deeply human. Each event is designed to feel warm and welcoming, whether you’re kneading sourdough alongside new friends, shaping handmade pasta, or sharing a glass of wine beneath the redwoods.
This is not about perfection or performance.
It’s about presence, curiosity, and connection.
Garden-inspired dinners and curated meals hosted in beautiful, often private settings. Each gathering is rooted in seasonality and thoughtful hospitality — from the menu and table styling to the pace of the evening itself.
Approachable, social cooking classes designed for all skill levels. From handmade pasta and sourdough to seasonal baking and home-cooking techniques, these classes are as much about connection as they are about learning.
Beyond the table, Redwood Social hosts experiences that nurture creativity and well-being — including etiquette and hosting workshops, craft nights, candle-making, garden dinners, and more. Each event invites you to step out of routine and into community.
In addition to public gatherings, Kendra is available for private hire through Redwood Social.
These custom experiences are ideal for:
In-home cooking classes
Company parties and team gatherings
Private dinners and celebrations
Hosting guidance and menu planning
Intimate workshops centered around food, connection, and hospitality
Each private event is thoughtfully tailored to your space, group size, and intention — whether you’re looking for a hands-on cooking experience, a beautifully hosted meal, or guidance on how to create a warm, memorable gathering in your own home.
From menu development and styling to pacing, flow, and the language of welcome, Kendra brings the same intentional, grounded approach that defines every Redwood Social event.
A Redwood Social Event
In collaboration with Sara Vizcarrondo, Founder of Academy of Ballet and Etiquette
Hosted by Kendra Thompson
Lexington Hills Estate · Los Gatos
Join us for a thoughtfully curated evening where modern etiquette meets the art of hosting — an experience rooted in warmth, presence, and the language of welcome.
Presented as a Redwood Social event, founded by Kendra Thompson, and led in collaboration with etiquette educator Sara Vizcarrondo, this gathering is designed to feel intimate, meaningful, and deeply human.
Set at the breathtaking Lexington Hills Estate, a private mansion tucked into the hills of Los Gatos, guests are granted rare access to portions of the venue not open to the public. This setting was chosen intentionally — because certain lessons around hosting, welcome, and presence can only be taught within a home. The space itself becomes part of the education, making this truly a one-of-a-kind experience.
This is not a traditional etiquette class.
And it’s not just a dinner.
It’s an evening centered on how we gather, how we host, and how we make others feel at ease — lessons that extend far beyond the table.
With a small group of just 14 guests, Sara Vizcarrondo, Founder of Academy of Ballet and Etiquette, will guide the evening with a modern, approachable perspective on etiquette — focusing less on rigid rules and more on social fluency:
How to move comfortably in social and dining settings
How to host with intention and ease
How to attend gatherings with confidence and grace
How hospitality becomes a shared language of care
Alongside the instruction, guests will enjoy a seasonal, thoughtfully prepared meal hosted by Kendra Thompson, including:
Wine pairings from Halter Ranch are selected to complement the meal, keeping the experience light, elegant, and inviting.
The table will be styled with curated Annieglass pieces, natural textures, florals, and candlelight — creating an atmosphere that feels elevated yet welcoming, refined yet deeply comfortable.
This evening is for those who:
Love beautiful spaces and thoughtful details
Want to feel more confident in social and dining environments
Prefer intimate gatherings over large events
Are drawn to experiences that feel intentional, not performative
