How to Store Your Veggie Bouillon
Once your veggie bouillon is fully dried and blended, proper storage keeps it fresh and flavorful:
-
Pantry: Store in an airtight glass jar in a cool, dark place for up to 3 months.
-
Freezer (My Favorite): Store in a sealed jar or freezer-safe container for up to 1 year — this keeps the flavor bright and prevents any moisture from affecting it.
-
Canned Broth Option: If you turn your scraps into liquid broth instead, you can pressure-can it following safe canning guidelines, or freeze in jars or silicone cubes for easy portions.
-
Portion Tip: You can also portion bouillon powder into small jars or tins so you always have a little on hand for cooking or gifting.
Storing it well means you always have homemade, additive-free broth ready whenever you need it.
