Chocolate Cheesecake Pumpkin Swirl Cake Recipe

Serves: 4-8

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 1/2 cups Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pumpkin Spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 (15 oz) can Pumpkin Puree
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 cup Vegetable Oil or Canola Oil
  • 1 cup Dark Chocolate Chips
  • 1 (8 oz) package Cream Cheese, slightly softened
  • 1/3 cup Sugar (additional for filling)
  • 1 Egg (additional for filling)
  • 1 tablespoon Milk (any type)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350°F. Line a 15×10-inch baking pan or cookie sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Prepare the Cake Batter:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, 1 1/2 cups sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, baking soda, pumpkin spice, and salt.
    • Add the pumpkin puree, 4 eggs, and vegetable oil to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan.
  3. Make the Cheesecake Mixture:
    • Melt 1/2 cup of the chocolate chips in the microwave (heat for 30 seconds, stir, then heat for another 30 seconds).
    • In a medium bowl, use an electric mixer to blend the cream cheese with 1/3 cup sugar until smooth. Beat in 1 egg, milk, and melted chocolate until the mixture is creamy.
  4. Create the Swirl Effect:
    • Spoon dollops of the chocolate cream cheese mixture over the pumpkin batter. Use a fork or spoon to swirl the chocolate mixture into the pumpkin batter, creating a marbled effect.
    • Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips over the top.
  5. Bake: Place the pan in the oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Serve: Allow the cake to cool before slicing and serving. Enjoy the delightful combination of chocolate and pumpkin in this unique dessert.
