Grilled Skirt Steak Salad
- 1 pound of flake steak
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon of packed dark brown sugar
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1/2 tablespoon cumin
- salt and pepper to taste
Salad fixing:
- Organic spring lettuce
- 1 avocado
- 1 heirloom tomato
Dressing
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 tablespoon agave syrup
- 1/2 tablespoon dijon mustard
Place steak in a large bag with all the above ingredients and let sit for 30 minutes.
Preheat gas grill for 20 to 30 minutes. Grill steak for 4 to 7 minutes, flip and repeat. Drizzle extra marinade while bbqing for extra flavor.
In a mason jar or sealed container add all ingredients for the dressing and shake well.
mix salad spring mix with dressing, add steak, sliced avocado and tomato on top and enjoy!
